The ADCI is dedicated to working towards solutions for the animal human conflict through putting morality back into control work. This is done by research on, and development of effective and selective control measures to this conflict. Through education and training the agricultural industry is then empowered to  solve their problems in the most environmentally friendly way as possible.

Agricultural production has a large impact on the natural environment. When not applying the Best Management Practices (BMP) animal damage control constitute a further impact. The choice of control method can make a huge difference on the impact on the environment. Animal damage control then, is the science, but also the art of finding the "lesser evil" to solve the problem.

Contact with organizations with similar functions will be established and maintained internationally. Links are supplied to some of the more serious institutions as there are many that try to make money without environmental responsibility.
